My Seller spent her summers growing up on Lake Winnipesaukee and 15 years ago she purchased this property..Written in her own words she tells the story. In the early Horse & Buggy days on Lake Winnipeaukee Buyers had their choice of any waterfront property. They looked for a flat lot to build on, directly at the waters edge with a sandy clear bottom. No hills between them and a nearby town...just this pristine protected cove for their Rowboat/Sailboat. They built stonewalls and they built, SOLID! Warm' Kings Mast' Pine interior walls, no paneling back then..thick stone foundations, a lightening rod and a panoramic view of the 'Broads' from the widows walk (Now in the partially finished attic) to watch their fishermen come home after a day on the lake. Later in 1925 a Laker Boathouse was added with 2 adjacent docks..All still here..In the second half of the 20th century, a larger additional Lakehouse was built closer to the road but with a water view. A garage was added and the property was connected to Town Sewer. Within the last 15 yrs both Lake Houses were completely modernized to include 2 Granite Countertop Kitchens, 2 Replaced Roofs, plumbing, (2) 200 amp electrical panels and Generator ready, 3 wood burning Fireplaces, large Sundrenched Deck, 2 fully appl'd kitchen (1 never used) . For the little ones a custom Pirate themed Playhouse/Bunkhouse.No Wake Zone..Quiet except for the Loons Calling...THIS IS THE LAKE! Minutes to Lakes Region Amenities!
